Maple Leafs trade talks with Anthony Stolarz Bobby McMann get update from Sportsne
The are heading toward a busy trade season, most likely after the Olympics. It just won't be the kind of busy they want. Most likely, they'll be selling, potentially moving on from Anthony Stolarz and Bobby McMann. included both in his latest trade board as he analyzes the players in the NHL most likely to be moved. A Stolarz trade for the Leafs would be mostly about how much depth they have at goalie in their organization. "The Leafs feel they have a luxury in net like Minnesota does and could get an a set for Stolarz, but he hasn't played well enough for that yet," Kypreos writes. "A strong showing before the trade deadline might push his value up enough and the Leafs will search the market. Toronto is trying to manage its goaltending a Aleksej Pokusevski Jersey sets, and having Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby playing so well in the NHL (and Artur Akhtyamov in the minors), you have to think they'd feel most comfortable moving Stolarz right now." MORE: In any Stolarz trade, Toronto would likely want a young skater in return, taking a surplus and turning it into a future a set. McMann's availability has more to do with how interested other teams are in his very affordable contract for quite the quality player. "On pace for a career-best season, McMann is garnering the most interest among Maple Leafs players," Kypreos writes. "If the Leafs are going to attempt a retool on the fly so they can try to make the playoffs again next year, they may not be comfortable keeping McMann, who could be looking for about $5 million AAV. In the meantime, they could maybe get a couple pieces for him, a second-round pick plus." MORE: McMann might cost a bunch in the future, but for now, Kypreos writes that anyone and everyone could get involved. "In many ways, he could be one of the most sought-after wingers at the deadline because he's the easiest to fit in with a $1.35-million cap hit, something every contender could manage, from Colorado to Florida, Anaheim, Ottawa ... you name it," Kypreos writes. These are far from the only names on Toronto's roster that will be in trade rumors, but they're two of the more notable. You can certainly count on the rumor mill continuing all the way through the trade deadline for the Leafs. More NHL news: Jalen Lecque Jersey
