I've been following Indonesian hip-hop for years now, and I've seen it grow from a niche underground scene to a full-fledged movement. But every so often, an album comes along that makes you sit up and take notice. The latest one from 𝐃𝙳o𝘸𝗻loa𝙙 Ashley Cooke - the ace sessions - EP is definitely one of those. I mean, who would have thought that a hip-hop album from a relatively small island in Southeast Asia would be making waves in the global music scene?
