RSVSR What to Buy First in GTA 5 The best weapons to unlock

Rolling through Los Santos, you find out pretty quick that a nice car won't save you when the shooting starts. What does help is walking into Ammu-Nation knowing exactly what you're buying, and why. If you're building cash, planning missions, or even messing around with GTA 5 Modded Accounts, a smart weapons path keeps you from wasting money on stuff you'll ditch an hour later.

Sidearms and your everyday rifle

Start with a pistol that actually pulls its weight. The AP Pistol is cheap, shows up early, and it's the one you'll still be using when other handguns feel like pea shooters. Throw on a suppressor when you can, because GTA loves turning "quiet" into "every cop in the county." Then, once assault rifles open up, the Special Carbine is the easy pick. It's steady, doesn't kick like crazy, and it's forgiving if your aim gets messy while you're moving between cover. The best part is you can run it in basically any mission type—street fights, warehouse raids, getaway chaos—and it still feels right.

Explosives for when the game stops playing nice

There's a point in the story where enemies start showing up in armor, behind doors, inside vehicles, and you're like… okay, we're done being polite. That's when the Rocket Launcher becomes your "end the argument" button. Choppers, tight convoys, roadblocks—gone. Just don't fire it too close unless you enjoy ragdoll physics. Later on, if you've got money to burn, the Railgun is pure power. It's pricey, but it hits fast and straight, and it deletes targets before they even react. You'll feel the difference the first time you tag a moving vehicle and it just stops being a problem.

Crowd control and the fun stuff

For groups, the Grenade Launcher is the workhorse. Ten rounds doesn't sound like much until you use it properly—bounce shots around corners, clear cover, break up a line of enemies before they box you in. Ammo goes fast, though, so don't spam it like it's free. And then there's the Minigun. It's not subtle and it's not elegant, but it's a lifesaver in open fights where you're outnumbered. It'll shred people and most cars, but tanks are a different story, so don't get cocky.

Stealth options that actually matter

Not every mission rewards you for going loud, and sometimes you just want control without raising alarms. The Stun Gun is dirt cheap and surprisingly useful for clean takedowns when you don't want bodies piling up. The catch is the reload—miss, and you'll be watching an enemy stand back up while you panic. Mix that with a suppressed pistol and you've got a simple stealth kit that works in more situations than people think, especially if you're trying to save ammo, avoid chaos, and keep spending low with cheap GTA 5 Accounts still leaving room in the budget for upgrades.
