This is one of only two games on the schedule Thursday night to feature two teams currently in a playoff spot, and it's definitely a good one as the Blues head into Tampa to take on the top team in the Eastern Conference. The Lightning have earned a point in the standings in nine of their past 11 games, while St. Louis has been rolling along on a 12-2-1 run over its past 15. Pick: Blues 4, Lightning 3 The Jets are coming off of a huge overtime win against Minnesota on Tuesday and should be ready to debut some new faces just one day after the blockbuster Charles Nagy Jersey trade that sent Evander Kane and to the Buffalo Sabres for , , a couple of prospects and a draft pick. The Jets have built themselves a nice cushion in the playoff race, holding a seven-point edge over the first non-playoff team in the West, and it will be interesting to see what sort of impact Myers can make in a new setting away from the me s that has been the Sabres. The Predators, meanwhile, are coming off an overtime win of their own and carry the best record in the NHL into Thursday's game. Pick: Predators 3, Jets 2 (overtime) This is an enormous game for both teams, but especially the Kings, who open the night five points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. With only three wins in their past 10 games the Kings aren't really doing much to close that gap. If they're going to start doing so, a win against one of the teams they're chasing would be a good way to start, especially when Winnipeg and Colorado, two of the other teams they are competing with, are also in action. But the Flames have been a handful all season and have continued to defy the odds when it comes to their style of play and the way they keep winning. A top-notch defensive pair, some young talented forwards and great goaltending can take a team a long way. He is coming off a three-a sist performance in the Rangers' most recent win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.2. , Pittsburgh Penguins: With and back on his wings he finally has his linemates back and the Penguins have a productive second line. They were tremendous Wednesday night against Detroit. 3. , Montreal Canadiens: He only has points in one of his past four games, but he's still playing some fantastic hockey for Montreal and logged 31 minutes in the Habs' overtime win against Philadelphia on Tuesday.
