But on Saturday night against the Blues, Phaneuf got a chance to take out his frustration on an opposing player, which wound up being T.J. Oshie. Blues captain David Backes came to the defense of Oshie, Al Horford Jersey and the ensuing scrum brought roughing minors for Backes and Phaneuf. Oshie wasn't injured. What really hurt? . "That's the response of them being a good team: Their captain comes in with a big hit and that's what creates a scrum," Leafs interim coach Peter Horachek said. "But you want to see the guys not being very happy in a situation when we're playing a game like that." Phaneuf had no problem with Backes, either. "I have no i sue with Backes or any of them coming to stick up for their teammate. That's part of the game, but I felt it was a clean hit and we move on."
