MMOexp POE 2: The Secret Amulet Anoint That's Worth Divines
Summary
Patch 0.5 quietly introduced some of the strongest character upgrades Path of Exile 2 has seen so far. Did you know your helmet can now be anointed? Are you taking advantage of extra jewel sockets hidden outside the passive tree? From powerful Delirium rewards to overlooked quality upgrades, these tricks can dramatically boost your build's damage, survivability, and flexibility. Better yet, many of these upgrades can save you valuable POE2 Currency by increasing your character's power without requiring expensive gear replacements—and many players still have no idea they exist.
Helmet Anoints Have Changed Everything
One of the biggest additions in Patch 0.5 is the ability to anoint helmets.
Previously, anoints were limited to amulets, but now players can add passive skills directly onto their helmets using a Raven Touch Shard. The process is simple: bring an uncorrupted helmet to the Delirium altar, socket the shard, and select your desired passive.
Sounds amazing, right?
There's one catch. Once the shard is installed, the choice is permanent. You cannot remove or replace it later. Even worse, corrupted helmets cannot be anointed at all, making it easy to waste an expensive shard if you're not careful.
The Raven Touch Shard drops from the new Delirium pinnacle boss, the Raven Lord, making it one of the most valuable upgrades available in the current endgame.
The Extra Jewel Socket Most Players Ignore
Want free power without changing your build?
The Cadigan Epiph item allows you to add a jewel socket directly to your gear. Instead of being limited to passive tree sockets, you can place a jewel inside equipment such as gloves.
Only one additional gear socket is allowed, but that's often enough to fit another powerful rare or unique jewel into your setup.
For many builds, a single extra jewel can provide more value than multiple passive points, making this one of the most efficient upgrades in the game.
The Secret Amulet Anoint That's Worth Divines
What if your amulet could grant an entirely new jewel socket?
Many players overlook the Zarok's Gift anoint, but it effectively creates another passive-tree jewel slot. This allows you to use powerful rare jewels, unique jewels, or even specialized options like Megalomaniac.
Why is this so strong?
Because jewel sockets often unlock build-defining bonuses that would otherwise require large passive tree investments. Instead of traveling across the tree, you can gain access to powerful effects immediately.
As more players discover this interaction, the required oils and materials continue rising in value.
Fix Bad Implicits Without Replacing Your Gear
Have you ever found a nearly perfect item ruined by a weak implicit modifier?
That's where Omen of the Bless comes in.
This currency functions similarly to Blessed Orbs from the original Path of Exile, allowing players to reroll an item's implicit value.
The biggest winner here is belts.
A great belt with only one charm slot can feel terrible. By rerolling implicits, you may gain additional charm slots without replacing the item entirely.
For relatively low cost, this upgrade can dramatically improve both utility and survivability.
Why Stop at 20% Quality?
Many players still assume 20% quality is the cap.
It isn't.
Patch 0.5 introduced Infusions, special crafting items that push equipment quality well beyond traditional limits. Weapons, armor, jewelry, and other gear pieces can all benefit from POE 2 Divine Orbs higher quality values.
