u4gm How to Make the Most of Compass to Carnage Event Guide
If you’ve got more Infernal Compasses than you know what to do with right now, you might want to stop whatever else you’re doing and jump into the game. With the Compass to Carnage event live until December 2, the current loot and farming setup is unlike anything we’ve had in a while. This has turned into that rare stretch where grinding actually feels rewarding instead of repetitive. For anyone chasing Chaos Armor, this is about as good as it gets, and it’s not just about the gear—it’s about making the most of your playtime. The last thing you want is to sit on resources and watch them lose value after the seasonal reset, so if you care about your builds, make sure your Diablo 4 Items stash is being put to work before the clock runs out.
Normally, Infernal Hordes can be hit or miss. You’d get a run with low density and very little to get excited about, and end up wondering why you even bothered. This week though, things are different. The Chaos Waves are showing up far more often than usual, and it completely changes the pace. Ten-wave runs frequently have four or five Chaos Waves now, and even six-wave runs are pulling two almost every time. That’s not just more enemies—it’s more chances for those huge Aether boosts that speed up everything else you’re trying to do.
The Aether gain right now is way higher than what we’re used to. It’s not just the waves; those Chaos Rifts that appear during them are paying out much more too. Hitting the 666 Aether threshold to face Bartuc used to feel like something you had to grind for. You’d sometimes fall short because RNG didn’t go your way. With the current setup, if you play at a decent pace, you’re pretty much guaranteed to hit it. This is huge for players who prefer shorter sessions and run the six-wave compasses, because now you don’t have to commit hours to get top rewards.
Season 11 will change the way things work, so holding onto your compasses in hope of something better later is risky. The event ends on December 2, and with the current boost to farming, you’re getting more for less time spent. That’s not something you see often in Diablo 4. If you’re serious about upgrading your gear and clearing space in your stash, make the most of this window while you can. Get into those Hordes, push through the waves, and scoop up as much Chaos Armor as possible while the odds are in your favour—it’s the smartest way to turn excess compasses into power and cheap Diablo 4 materials you’ll actually use.
