Humidifiers can feel like junk until your Expedition Project suddenly asks for five of them. That's when players start digging through their stash and wishing they hadn't recycled every one. If you're checking ARC Raiders Items while planning a recovery run, the quickest route is usually Buried City's Red Tower. The target is in the upper residential area, where two red lockers can spawn the item. Get there early, check the lockers first, then decide whether the raid is worth extending.

Red Tower works because it gives you a clear goal instead of a vague "search residential loot" instruction. The problem is other Raiders know it too. Walk into open lockers and you're probably late, not unlucky. Don't waste ten minutes combing every nearby crate if you came for one project item. The metro extraction is close enough to make short runs worthwhile, especially when you're carrying gear you don't want to lose.

A Simple Red Tower Farming Routine

Keep the run light and treat it like a pickup job. You don't need a packed inventory or expensive weapons to open two lockers. Move with purpose, but don't sprint blindly into the building. Footsteps around the stairs, metro, or upper floor can tell you a lot before you commit.

1. Load into Buried City with enough room for household loot and project materials.
2. Head straight for Red Tower near the Old Town and Plaza Rosa side of the map.
3. Reach the upper residential room and inspect both red lockers before opening side containers.
4. If you find a Humidifier, secure it and use the nearby metro when the route looks safe.
5. If the lockers are already open, either reset quickly or continue toward the Hospital and Space Travel for more residential containers.

When Red Tower keeps getting contested, switch things up rather than forcing the same route again. The Hospital has plenty of cabinets, drawers, lockers, and small storage spots, so it's a decent backup during the same raid. Dam Battlegrounds is another option. Check places such as Pale Apartments, Ruby Residence, and the northern houses. Look in kitchen cabinets, cupboards, shelves, and bedroom storage. Humidifiers belong with residential loot, so random industrial boxes aren't where you should spend most of your time.

Before recycling anything, open your Projects menu and check your own Expedition phase. The first Expedition's Outfitting stage is known to require five Humidifiers, but later personal projects may ask for something else. Humidifiers recycle into Canisters and Wires, which sounds useful until you need the original item again. Keep five aside if your first Expedition isn't done, contribute them once the phase opens, and only clear extras after checking your needs.
